It was wonderful to be able to experience transfer meeting.  The testimonies born by the departing missionaries were powerful.  I enjoyed watching the trainer and new missionary meet for the first time in the chapel.  It was fun walking around in the parking lot taking pictures but mainly visiting with the missionaries.  There was a lot of energy and commitment in the air.

  1. I love the pictures! And you can feel the excitement written all over their faces, haha! I would love to be doing what you are doing Sister Felix. I can think of no better calling than being a mom, a primary teacher, a visiting teacher and working with the Sister's and Elder's who are willing to put their life as they know it on hold for 18-24 months to serve the Lord! For most of them, this is probably the first time they have been away from home and almost completely on their on! It's got to be nice to have a welcoming face meeting them at the Airport and getting well feed and having a warm, clean place to sleep the first night they arrive in California... :)
